Money matters

Weddings are expensive affairs. A budget plan is a MUST for any wedding so that only that money is spent which you can afford to. Listed below are a number of items that you need to budget for. For each of these you must decide on the approximate estimated costs. Then as the wedding preparations get executed it is imperative to note down the actual costs that have been incurred. Compare the two and should you find yourself overshooting, then cut back immediately!

Example

Item Estimated Cost Actual Cost Difference

Musicians Rs.2000 Rs.2700 + 700

Wedding Outfit Rs.10000 Rs.9600 -400

Gajras Rs.700 Rs.800 +100

There are several ways to cut costs at a wedding without compromising on the quality and class of your wedding.
Decide beforehand who invites the Photographer. Sometimes both the bride's and the groom's families end up hiring professional photographers to capture the wedding. A complete waste of money. Serve exotic mocktails instead of the usual cocktails. You save a bundle on the liquor. If you must serve alcohol, try serving a greater variety of cocktails instead of hard liquor.Print only one set of wedding cards for the bride's and the groom's families. Use inserts to invite a select number of guests for the other wedding functions.
